Join us for a class years in the making.
Sicily, Italy’s legendary "breadbasket," is a place that has captured our hearts time and again, not just for its stunning landscapes and incredible coastal presence, but because through a gastronomic lens, it is one of the most vibrant and unique crossroads on the planet.
We are returning home with a wealth of fresh knowledge: Paula spent weeks on the island studying the intricate nuances of its cuisine, while Scott spent two weeks on the slopes of Etna learning alongside the most educated minds of the region. And fresh off leading a week-long immersion and visiting dozens of producers, we are incredibly eager to bring those stories and discoveries back to our community.
This is an experiential session designed to engage all your senses. Throughout the evening, we will be tasting several authentic Sicilian bites served alongside selected wines that showcase the island’s incredible biodiversity. This format allows you to see firsthand how the flavors of the land and the glass interact, providing a true taste of the Sicilian lifestyle.
During this experience, we will travel from West to East, from the salt pans of Trapani to the volcanic slopes of Catania, tracing the island’s history of "food mobility" and the cross cultural significance of its most vital ingredients. Paula will lead the culinary narrative, diving into the soul of iconic Sicilian dishes, while Scott guides you through the native grapes and diverse terroirs that make the island’s viticulture so electric.
We’ll conclude the evening with a casual walk around tasting of additional wines, providing the perfect opportunity to share travel stories and connect over a shared love of Italy.
