Join us for an educational evening with Francesca Nonino of the legendary Nonino family, hosted in partnership with Terlato Wines International.
Founded in 1897 in Italy's northeast Friuli Venezia Giulia region, Nonino is one of the country’s most respected and influential distilleries. They are credited with preserving native Italian grape varieties through close work with small growers and a focus on quality over quantity. Their amaro is widely regarded as the benchmark for balance and approachability. Named the world’s best distillery in 2019, Nonino continues to innovate while honoring deep Italian traditions.
Francesca, the sixth generation of the family, is a leading voice for both the brand and the Friuli region. Named one of the 40 under 40 most influential people in the beverage industry in 2024, she brings clarity, energy, and approachability to a category often misunderstood.
If you’ve ever been curious about grappa or amaro—or want to deepen your knowledge—this is your chance to learn directly from the maker.
Francesca will share her family’s history, explain the grappa and amaro production methods, and guide a tasting of seven spirits, including grappa made from Moscato, Chardonnay, Merlot, and the rare Picolit, as well as Nonino’s iconic amaro and amaro riserva.
This is a rare opportunity to experience the craft, culture, and legacy of one of Italy’s most iconic distilleries.
